This is a official site of "Microbiology Alumni Society of Sadra". This is a social association of students of Microbiology Department, Biogas research center, Mahadev Gramseva Mahavidhyalaya, Gujarat Vidhyapith, Sadra. This is a initiative to being bonded and helpful to each other by creative means. In the summer of year 1995 in the campus of "Mahadev Desai Gramseva Mahavidhyalaya" Gujarat Vidhyapith, Sadra the first batch of B.Sc. (Microbiology) was started with 7 students. Today the strength has been increased to 120 students with courses like B.Sc., M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D., etc.
The idea to make such association first comes in mind of our respected lecturer Mr. Shrinivas Murty in the year of 1999 when the first 2 batch of B.Sc. was passed out. There was a formal small get together arranged of 30-40 students. After that meeting because of unavoidable circumstances it was not arranged regularly.
In year 2003 one another get together was arranged with the help of Mr. Pradeep Acharya ( HOD ), Mr. Nikhil Bhatt , Other staff members and obviously Mr. Shrinivas Murty. This meeting became successful with presence of most of Ex- students and present students. But unfortunately this effort also failed to get a regular rhythm.
Now the original spirit comes in the picture. Mr. Shrinivas Murty and Mr. Nikhil Bhatt suggested to create alumni of students which will arrange regular get together and creative activities. This idea worked..... students got motivated and arranged one more get together with the help of Mr. Pradeep Acharya. Meeting becomes successful and some students started participating actively for alumni. In a very short time approximately 180 members got registered in alumni and finally this alumni association picks up the rhythm which was expected. Now "MASS" is a official name of this alumni. "MASS" has now working committee for making this association strong, creative, helpful and long lasting.
